signs MoU with Netherland’s WK education |

Mysore-based Excelsoft Technologies Pvt Ltd., a total-solutions provider in the domain of e-learning, signed an MoU with Netherland-based Wolters-Kluwer Education (WKe) in Mysore recently on the use of Excelsoft’s latest e-learning application framework across all WKe publishing houses. The five-year agreement will help WKe create a common platform for learning, while delivering a competitive edge in the European marketplace, for delivering digital learning content, by using Excelsoft’s unique market tested, scalable state of art eLearning product suite consisting of learning management and assessment management system. The agreement also comprises development of custom e-learning applications on the framework for each of the publishing houses. Wolters Kluwer Education is the leading provider of primary, secondary and vocational educational material, content and services in seven European countries – the Netherlands, Sweden, the UK, Germany, Belgium, Austria and Hungary. “This is a big deal for us. In this deal, we will be delivering a lot of services. We will be also having a revenue share in the main components developed and used across Europe for a period of five years,’ Excelsoft CEO Sudhanva said. The new version Excelsoft has offered to WKe is a common platform called Saras 2008. A unified learning platform, the user can quickly build e-learning customatised application with new concepts on this platform. This product will be used in thousands of schools across Europe and the UK. A large number of schools were earlier using previous version of the product. “With
this big deal coming through, we have started looking at other emerging
South-east Asian markets, apart from the domestic Indian market. Today,
e-learning has become a mature market. Hence, our hopes are big,”
Sudhanva said. Several leading educational publishers, universities and corporates world-wide are using its e-learning solutions. It has built customers network across the globe including countries like New Zealand, Singapore, Middle East and Carribean Islands. |
