This
site, in honour of Divine Mother Goddess
Chamundeswari, is created
by G.Satyanarayana. He hails
from the traditional Gauri
family. The members of Gauri
family, Telugu-speaking
Brahmins of Mysore
in Karnataka State,
India, were Gauri
priests for the Mysore royal
family, since age-old times. One of their ancestors was a
Gauri Oupasaka. Goddess Gauri had blessed
him with Her Divine Grace.
Even today, the worship of Gauri, prior to the Ganesha
festival, is celebrated with great reverence by these families.
This web site is created by 'Samachar',
a leading English Daily of Mysore. After 50 years of its publication,
it has been now converted into a portal in the name of 'Mysore
Samachar'. The intention of this site is to see that
a devotee of the Great Divine Mother feels happy of having offered
his salutation to the Goddess, at the Lotus Feet of Chamundi,
another form of Gauri, in
Mysore, Her sacred seat. The
author of this site is ready to furnish any information a devotee
of the Goddess requires for his religious and spiritual purposes,
and who intends to avail this service.
